1950 engine color for 235
 

I am getting ready to paint the 1959 235 that is in my 1950 3600. Is the engine color for a 1950 gray or blue? I believe the 1959 engine color is originally blue. Any hints or suggestions? The under hood engine compartment is gloss black. The truck body itself is black with cream fenders and cab top. Thanks in advance....

Its kind of a blue-gray color, like the color of our forums unless you changed it.

Thanks for the info. I went to the Street Rod Nationals today and saw a few trucks with the gray engines. I just wanted to make sure.

Here are some pictures that I found a few years ago of new engines in the late 50's early 60's. I'm not sure if they used the same colors earlier but I did have one I pulled out of my 47 Panel that was the same color as the one's in the pictures.
