WTB: 71-72 Bucket Seats

Realizing they're rare, just seeing if there are any out there?

Also - Has anyone tried a 2003 Dodge Ram seat in their C10? The seat looks a lot like Buddies if you take the headrests off. I think I'm leaning more toward buckets and a console though.

Looking for nice ones, understanding they're expensive. Nice frames would work too.. I'll build 'em up. Have cash, will travel if the price is right.

Thanks.

Yes dodge seats have been installed, modifications required.

Re: WTB: 71-72 Bucket Seats

I can get a set for $150 bucks, in good shape etc. I'd probably recover them with leather / houndstooth I'm more concerned with the width of the seat fitting (?) Looks like it works well though.. humm.

Is this something you'd consider shipping? TN to CA might be a strech for me.

Re: WTB: 71-72 Bucket Seats

1500 for all of it? Including the console? I am interested. Would you mind taking a few pictures for me? I can probably work out a road trip to VA. Midlothian VA to Cleveland TN, how far are we talking about? Do you think they'd fit in the back of a CRV with the seats down?

Let me know please sir, I would like to see them. Thanks

I will get pictures for you in a little bit. Yes, that's for all of it including the console. I have sold a few sets of buckets and these are by far the nicest...and the console is the first one I got-for myself (before I started restoring my own) I got it from Cheyenne super man....it's as nice as you'll find!

I am pretty sure (99% ;)) they would fit. Probably would leave the brackets off because of the height of the seats with them.

If you mapquest the 23112 zip it gets you within a minute of my house.

Thanks, didn't see that $600 one...but I'd put this one up against it any time!!!

I already have the seats packed up because I thought they were sold but the guy ended up having me find another set and recover them in a different color for him...I'd rather not unpack them so I'll look for pictures I sent to him and post them later this evening.

Here is the console...pictures came out horrible....let me know if you need better ones...

The marks on the stainless in the pictures are fingerprints. He used an original ashtray and polished it...not repop...
No cracks or blemishes...good grain all over.

Re: WTB: 71-72 Bucket Seats

Jonathan - I am interested but I'd like to see the pictures if you can(?) No hurry. I understand about unpacking them and why you wouldn't want to. Just talking about the other pics (for the other guy)

It might be a couple weeks before I could make it up that way, if I decide to get them could you hold them for a couple weeks? I could send you a deposit and work out something(?) I don't know man.

They are beautiful no doubt but they would be at the high end of my budget. .. and of course gas for a 1,000 mile trip.

Shoot me the pics when you can and we can go from there I guess. Thanks.

I think it's a good idea because yours look awesome when restored :chevy:

Here is the only picture of the buckets I can find. It is from when I purchased them....I can't find the others I took. If you need better ones I will unpack them if you are interested in purchasing them. The cores used for these were the best originals I've seen. I do have another equally great original set that I am about to have professionally recovered so if you wanted a different color than black I can do that.

And here are the others I am about to have recovered....can do them in black also or another color...

I'm guessing you put new foams etc. When you had them redone? Is $1500 your best price? I'm serious, I'll be in the car on Friday night, if this weekend works for you (?). I just need to convince the wife, Richmond vs. Savanna GA. I have talked to her and she didn't seem opposed to the idea.

The foam on these was excellent so no foam other than the extra on the new covers themselves was needed or added. They sit comfortably.
I have been getting 1200 for the seats and 450 for restored seatbelt consoles so that's actually 1650...I'll do 1450 to give you a little extra off to help pay for one tank of gas or a nice dinner for your wife :D.

Re: WTB: 71-72 Bucket Seats

Johnathan - I'm really going to kick myself I know, but I'm going to have to pass these up. They're worth every dime of 1600 (what I'd have in them) I just can't bring myself to let go of the money right now. Yes, I want some buckets and console but yours are finished and super nice putting them beyond the 'one drop' lump sum of cash for me right now.

I don't know if you read my build thread or not but Sat (after I posted this) I tried to start my big block truck and it's slinging oil out the drain hole of the dust shield. I either have a problem in the oil filter somewhere (?) Or I'm going to have put a rear main in it.

My dishwasher went out a few weeks ago, my wife wants tile floors in the kitchen, etc. I could do a good set of cores right now I'm just not ready for the show set right now. My gut's telling me no.

I'm sorry man.

..These are some good looking seats and..I'm needing some for my '72 C10 but I don't want this style console with the ashtray. Do you have a console with cup holders that would go with these seats? Thanks

I have several cupholder consoles I will be restoring. None completed right now. I do have one I purchased complete for myself that I'd be willing to sell also. I also have a conversion kit with billet cupholders in lieu of the factory ones I could complete if you were interested in that.
