Oil Pressure switch on TBI Engine
1 Attachment(s)
I got a TBI crate motor that Im about to slap in my truck next weekend.
I noticed it had what seemed to be two oil pressure sending units. One on top and one by the oil filter. I assume it is for the TBI computer. This motor has the mechanical fuel pump provision on it. I guess because its a crate/replacement engine? I am putting an Edelbrock manifold and carb on it. What do I need to do to utilize one of these oil pressure units? Do I plug one of them? I guess I could use the unit off my current motor? Thanks |
Re: Oil Pressure switch on TBI Engine
I wouldnt use either one of them. put the sending unit off of your old motor in the same location as your old motor and plug the other hole.

Re: Oil Pressure switch on TBI Engine
The one by the filter is for the oil pressure gauge. The top unit is for the computer sending unit.

when I took the TBI out of my C-10 [converted] and dropped it in my 1988 K5, I had to relocate the oil pressure sending units. The old 1988 engine had a blockoff cap for the other spot, which I used on the "new" engine. |
