Hood orniments and head light bezels
 

I want to add a hodd ornimant to my truck what kind came factory on the squares and what else are yalls running pic please and its really hard to find a 1980 with the correcto square lights in the junk yard ive seena ton of 80s with the 79 trim but none of the 80 trim with the square lights and round fenders any one know who makes the best re pops of these all pics are appreciated

My '90 GMC Jimmy had a hood ornament.
LMC Truck might be able to help you out on finding a specific one...

The reason the 1980 with the square headlights is so find to hard is because they only came with the Silverado package that year. All other models retained the round headlight and bezel from '79.

i didnt know that so what trim level is the bonanza is that a slivarado i thought it was a chyenne

The Bonanza is the trim level. In 1980 Silverado was the top of the line, Cheyenne, then Bonanza. Did I miss one? When did the Scottsdale begin?

Scottsdale began in '75. It was still there, along with Custom Deluxe. I think the Bonanza and Cheyenne were marketing packages. Scottsdale got you a color coordinated rubber mat, instead of the black one in the Customer Deluxe. I think the upholstery was upgraded a bit, and there was different trim on the door panels among other things.

ithe bonanza is a mraketing tool used to get the most selecte4d options on a truck in the off months ie the winter to get sales up i thought it was applied to the chyenne level not the silvarodo

My 91 silverado suburban had a hood ornament not sure if its what your looking for I can post a pic later

Not exactly correct; you could opt up to the square headlights/chrome grille from the Scottsdale package, via RPO V22...

...which is what I did in 1980, on my step side.

Whats the significance of the the hood ornament? I guess what I should say is did it only come on certain trim levels/years or was it simply an option?

My 86 c10 has a hood ornament but the grill and bezels are plastic. My avatar is a picture of my hood..

that style is 81-87/91

the 73-80 was the larger style

Hood ornament was supplied when zy5 special two tone was ordered

Also special editions ...Sport,Olympic,etc had their own

I found a deisel one but all the emblems wer gone off it just the chrome square

Any one know where to find metal headlight bezes in the 80 square light fashoin lmc and most others are plastic i want metal
