stock radio questions
hi. my truck had a aftermarket CD player in it when i got it. I wanted to return it to a stock radio. i got a dash piece that deletes the cassette and a radio and amp from multiple parts trucks. I didnt pay attention when I was pulling the amp from the parts trucks so now i cant remember where it goes. I remember its by the steering column?just cant figure out where it goes.and also, do the amp and radio have to be from the same truck? i just picked these out of the pile I had. would like to get this hooked back up so I at least have a radio to listen to. thanks.

i dont know about all that but if you dont mind i would like to ask you and the others a question as well.
does the stock radio slide into a "trim piece" to center it on the hole? |
Re: stock radio questions
no. you unscrew the dash suround and screw it right to the dash.

The amp should go under the driver seat. Do you mean "Radio Receiver"?

No prob.. I took those yesterday morning, and right when I started to load them on my computer, my monitor went out. I jumped on craigslist, with the phone and got lucky. Found a old one for $5 bucks. Otherwise i'd had them up earlier.

Re: stock radio questions
Does the antenae plug into the receiver or the head unit? My stock unit isn't working, plus someone has added a new harness for a unit in the center (where the stock cassette/eq would go. I would like to get the stock unit up and running sooner or later.
