1979 inner fenders
 

Are the inner fenders interchangeable between 79 & 81-87? I have a set and they are close, just wonder if they will work on my '79

Don't know if they will physically fit or not. But they are different. Maybe someone else can verify if they fit or not. I wouldn't think so but I don't know for sure.

No they will not work,
the 81 n up fenders bolt pattern to the inner fenders are different then the 73-80 style.

It looks like the bolt hole to the core support are different, but I can drill new holes. over all they look pretty similar. I already have the new ones and I would hate to chuck em in the weeds and pay shipping on a new set. It looks like they should mount to the fenders. your thoughts. I picked the pair up for $40.

The shape around the fender is different, they will not work.
