buying a new 350 engine
I am looking into buying new 350 engine, one with a warranty on it and I was wondering where the best place to buy one is. And what would be a good price on one? Looking for a GM 350 engine for my daily driver.

If your just wanting a stocker base 350 crate motor, Your local Chevy dealer might have them in stock. My small town Chevy dealer keeps them in stock so I would assume most do.

Try www.scoggindickey.com I think that's the right addy. They will send you a free catalog on GM performance parts.Even if you don't buy from them you will have the part ##'s to shop for price.

Depending on how long of a warranty you are looking at, you might consider a rebuilt as well. Keep in mind the warranty will cover parts, not labor. Your GM dealer can usually get you either (new or rebuilt) in probably a week. Autozone and some other places can get rebuilts with limited warranties as well. These will all be stock shortblocks/longblock. A good rebuilt can last as long as a new engine for a little less money.

Paceparts or Scroggindicky will usally beat your local dealers price by a bunch and if you work somewhere that has a truckdock to receive it, that will save on shipping over having it shipped to your house. On the last one I bought, scroggins was $200 cheaper even after paying shipping than my local dealer.
