My first project from '08 - '11

Hi! I didn't see this "other" projects until now! So, before '08 i was kind of busy with roadracing motorcycles, how exciting a time that was! Tinnitus kind of ruined that excitement, and I moved onto a project of restoration or I learned it to be called: Restomod.
I told my husband, Gary, that I wanted to get into restoring something, and I picked a '67 Mustang as they didn't look to be so involved(ha), but that's what I did! I got this '67 stang coupe that was in pretty bad condition (actually didn't look all that bad(I thought!!), not nearly as bad as some I'd seen, but I dove into it! Learning as I went along, spending and buying more and more tools, and with help from the gang on www.Stangfix.com~ I couldn't have done it without them, just like now~ I honestly don't think I could complete the '59 Apache without this site! ;)

I paid 1300 and the guy pulled it on a trailer to my home, and in the garage it stayed for about 3 years while I worked on it. I painted the car with a single stage paint from Eastwood, Hugger orange. The stang needed all floor pans and fixin in many places! I wont go into detail. But everything is new that's boltable! Oh my, look how clean the floor was!

I hope this is a car that I'll never part with! I know so much about it and feel a part of it, like I'm bonded with it.

right now it's sitting at my moms underneath a large carport covered with a car cover. My garage won't fit it and the Apache, especially while the apache is undergoing fixin!
I love old cars and I wish to be back in those good old days when life was just a little more simple ; )

Nice. Im generally not a mustang fan. Around here everyone seems to have one (94 and up). But I have to admit, if I found one in your body style, I wouldnt kick it out of the yard. Good job with it.

That's the problem with the old Mustangs, it's what you can't see. I was kinda looking for a nice driver 64-1/2 to 66 but the couple "nice" ones I looked at (looked good on the outside) needed some kind of floor/frame/cowl/or front unibody metal work. So I've kinda given up. I just need to get started on my 67 firebird project.

Your car came out great! Mustangs are cool. My wife and I have a 2011 V6.
