Hole by door striker ?

Does anybody know what this hole is for ,Most trucks I've seen just have a center punch mark, Thanks, Jamie

Would that be for the early version of the shoulder belt lower mounting hole???

Thanks guys , I wondered if it had to do with that ,but I had a hole up top also for the shoulder belt , I'll have to fill it in with a plug of some sort and paint it body color , I never noticed it was there till today,
