'72 Chevy inner door panel differences?
 

Picked up a pair of '72 door panels. Anybody know what style door panels go with what trim level? Below is a picture of one. What style do I have? Thanks!!!:metal:

The style pictured are for the 1972 base or custom trim level. The custom deluxe and super custom have a scrol pattern with silver trim piece. The Cheyenne andSierra and up have wood grain.

Those are the bottom of the line, basic trim level panels. The next level will have the nicer scroll design molded into the plastic, with a stainless trim ring, and the top of the line trim level will have woodgrain inserts, inside of the stainless ring.

Is your truck a 72? All 72's should have some sort of the plastic door panels. The best way to see if it is a 72 door is to look for this dimple.

So that is the Cheyenne trim level door panel?

Yes, the custom deluxe, cheyenne, and cheyenne super all used the same panel. The custom deluxe has the scroll with the stainless trim ring and the cheyenne and super added the woodgrain insert.

The door panel in your pic can be made to look like a cheyenne door panel by adding the insert and the trim ring, but it can not be made to look like a custom deluxe because it lacks the scroll pattern.

no dimple on mine i think they replace the front end with 69 and doors too at one point

What is the dimple for? Mine looks like it has a rivet, I have seen others with a screw.
