Bench Seat Replacement - No console
 

Looking to swap out my bench seat, and I want to get either captains chairs or bucket seats without the center console. I will be building a custom center console with three 10" subs and don't care for the console.

I searched the site and could not find a year that would be a direct bolt on for either buckets or captains chairs.

Is this possible, or do I just need to buy a set of seats and custom fit them?

I see plenty of captains chairs for roughly $50 here, but they will probably need custom built brackets.

Finding seats that will work is no big deal. The seats from any Blazer or Burb will work just fine. Finding brackets for buckets is a big concern. Bucket seats were optional in trucks, just not very common. The fact that the bucket brackets were welded in place will compound the difficulty in finding what you need. From what I have been told the Burb brackets can be modified to fit.

Yeah you will have to build a little tower next to the tranny hump.
And get 2 more seat rails from a pickup or the rear bench of a crewcab.

Suburban seat rails mount the same as reg cabs in the front bolt hole ..but the back of the bracket is bent down instead up being bent up like the trucks. The front of a crew cab is the same way so try and find them from the back seat or another reg cab truck.

Scout around in wrecking yards, i found a set of factory buckets for a regular cab mounted still for 65.00. But these are rare.

Thanks for the info. guys! I'll head to the yards this weekend. If theres nothing there, I'll probably get something off of craigslist.
