Edlebrock Carb and Manifold Q's??

1 Attachment(s)
Hi All,
I am still fairly new to pretty much everything about these trucks. Fell in love with them and am jumping in head first!

I have an aftermarket edlebrock manifold with a 1406 edlebrock carb. My carb is shot and I had it rebuild but this time it just needs to be replaced. My newbie questions are the following:
-How do I know what carb will fit my manifold?
-How do I identify my exact manifold?
-If I buy a new 1406 will it bolt right up guarenteed? Or are there varients to the 1406?

Thanks for your help and input!

Hi there Tall. Like you, I'm no carb expert. If you don't get solid answers here, you should try calling an Edelbrock dealer, like Summit Racing and get advice from them. They've been helpful to me in the past. Good luck!

your carb will either be a spreadbore (like the quadrajet some holleys etc) squarebore (edelbrock 1406 1405 etc) or dominator style more for racining. the 1406 will bolt right up no problem bud!

it will be obviose which one you have the squarebore is square shaped and the spreadbore is kinda shaped like a clover i guess kinda hard to describe lol.
