5k rpm in a few seconds
No 1/4 or 1/8 time yet but per the gear calculator with 3.70 gears and a th400 it's 110mph at 5k. I hit 5k in 3rd from a dead stop in 9sec. This don't seem right unless my engine build put a bigger cam in it then he told me.

I think Marv may be on to something. What do you have for a convertor?

I'm not familiar with that brand. Is the truck extremely traction limited?

Re: 5k rpm in a few seconds
They are a local company with a good reputation. It spins a lot down low, if I hammer it from a dead stop then it'll spin for the first 70-100 yards. If I take it light for the first 25 yards it don't spin bad. I do need to soften up the rear end. It has MT drag radials.
