Srw vs drw

Guys, Last year I bought a 85 chevy crew cab dually. I have sense then basically reworked the whole truck and converted it to 4x4 using a dana 44 (On a budget) I have left it as a dually, but I am really thinking maybe I should just convert it to a srw.

Im wanting to know from guys with Duallys, how hard is it for you guys to get into some places? While I have been driving around I have noticed how I dont think a dually would be able to go through quite a few places that I go every once in a while. I am in college and I have a feeling that trying to park a dually is going to be a challenge.

So what do you guys think? Id really like to hear from the guys with duallys to see how they had to adjust to driving a dually all the time.

Thanks guys!

I only had one dually, and that was a pain to get into parking places. Inless you really need a dually, I'd convert to SRW. And only have to carry one spare.

What are you towing? If so how much weight are you towing? How many parking places do you think you're going to get into with a crew cab and a 8' bed? I built my dually for towing and load stability at speed in adverse conditions. When conditions are bad for towing, dually's shine, having more truck than you need for a job ISN'T a bad thing. As far as a daily driver, If they don't weigh more, I don't get cut off. Just my opinion, Ron

I dont tow, and when I do I doubt it is much over 7k or 8k. I plan on it being more of a daily driver. As for the crew cab with 8 foot bed trying to get into a parking spot, that might just be my problem. I know if I could back the truck into the parking spot I would be able to turn sharper so I could probably get into most of them.
