What year bumper do you suggest?
 

I'm in the process of putting together my 1990 crew cab 1/2 ton , today I dug out the bumper that came with my 1/2 ton donor...it's ugly! Huge turn signals, bumpreettes .... its horrid!
What years had a cleaner bumper, if I could get one with out a licensee plate indent that would be cool.

What years should I be looking at.

Im assuming you mean the front? 81-82 had the turns in the bumper and 83-87 were moved to the grill so that sounds more like what you are looking for. Im not sure what trim levels had the bumperettes but they are easy enough to take off and use other bolts.
