They are probably purple hornies, a fried of mine has a couple of those but without the turndown tips (just bottles) they are pretty loud.

Oklahoma,
They have a pretty good reputation at making race heads.
The trademark must have run out (?) or GM would be sueing their pants off for using the word "Vortec".
Look to me like a much better head than GM's due to the added metal.
GM needs to do this too.

Apparently they only have a trademark on "Vortec" when used to describe "Engines for land vehicles." The heads are a separate entity when you go through all the legal aspects. Here's GM's TM on Vortec: http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?r...entry=78042695

I also checked for a patent on Vortec cylinder heads and found nothing so I suppose this company is good to go.

If anybody wants to search for themselves or would just like to snoop around....

They're in New Zealand. Would've never figured that.

Thanks for that reply O'Grey,
Uspto is a good site to bookmark indeed.

I did not know they had electricty in New Zealand, let alone a head company:D

Hehehe. It's quite an industrious country. Very beautiful landscape too. I'd love to go there someday. I knew there was a performance scene in Australia, but not NZ.

The good thing about the USPTO site is that you can get detailed drawings and descriptions of some of the best technology in the world. The drawings and specs are so detailed that you could even replicate them for your own personal use as long as you don't sell it. If one had the time and the means it would save money to build some things yourself.

Ol' Grey,
I am glad to hear of more things coming out of that country= It's about time!
Oh yeah....... Not that I would ever copy something from a patent mind you..I love to go and look at the "drawing skills" of all those patents. Yeah, that's it..check out the way they do there title blocks and stuff..........:D :D :D :D
