headers will not fit ???
I have a set of Headman headers for my 72 BB and they will not fit they are the correct application but it's a definite no go.
Anyone else experiance this or can you recommend a better fitting set. |
Where on your truck do they not fit??

I havent had experience with a big block, but I did put Headman Headers on my 1970 with a 350. One tube on each side hit the frame rail for some reason, so I ended up bending each tube in that spot. Fits ok now.:D

sometimes for header installation it's good to have the engine mounts disconnected and a lift hooked to the engine to rock it a little to one side in order to slip the headers in and ocassionally a BFM comes in handy for dimpiling a tube hear or there for clearance

I use Dynamax BB header,s ,had to replace the motor mount on one side it was sagging about an inch .Fit great after that.

I just put in a set of the headmen elites on my 402 '67 C10 yesterday. I had to grind a very small amount off of the bottom of the flanges on the cyl head where they were hitting on my ARP head bolts. I am using '72 style motor towers and mounts. They clear my frame and I can even use the orginal 2qt canister oil filter with them. I can get you the part number if you want, the only difference between the elites and regulars is the coating and flange thickness.
