I used peel and stick from the home depot under my carpet as a sound deadener and heat reducer. No tar smells at all and this is in the Alabama heat. Best of all it is cheap. I love cheap mods.

I bought my carpet kit off of ebay from these guys http://stores.ebay.com/autocustomcarpetoutlet

Stockinteriors.com the carpet fit awesome. I would buy from them again. Floor mats I got to match are also same quality.

Got my carpet from ACC. Used Fat Mat everywhere under carpet and on inner bed sides, wheel tubs, and front kick panels (I have a Blazer).
