I have a very rare 1965 Chevrolet 2 Door Crew Cab,(crummy) is what they were called. It has a 230 six and 4 on the floor, this is how should I say,"factory built" not home made. I do also have another 65 for parts that has a 292 6 cyl automatic that goes along. In the pics you see a 1965 Harley Davidson Scat,(Hummer) that is not included in this deal. This truck would look great lowered and hot rodded possibly. I am in Monroe if you want to take a look and the price is firm on truck alone, $10,000. Thank you all.

That second one is in incredible shape. I think that's the best looking unrestored crew I've ever seen.

this one sure looks wacko
looks like someone stuck a longer crewcab body on a std 127" w/b and adj the box to fit. looks weird. never seen one put out like that

The crews could come in 2,3 or 4 doors, it does look wierd but it is a crew since it could hold 6 people ( not very comfortable or large ones, but 6 people)

I have seen 2 exact trucks like the blue crew down here. I don't know if it was a west coast design or not but definately is not home made.

I think you nailed it. There used to be some shops around that modified truck cabs for the railroad and other outfits that needed cabs that held more than three people before crewcabs were readily available. The factories would ship trucks to these shops and they converted the trucks much the same way that the motor home outfits convert vans into motorhomes now. Do the mods and then ship them on to the dealer for delivery. The loggers and oil rig guys usually beat them to death in short order but a lot of them that the railroad, forest service or whatnot had seemed to survive.

That blue one could also be a panel front that has been modified with the truck rear cab and the bed. I say this because it has the side window.
