OK, I got it home now what?

I've never built a lowered truck before, So I found this on Craigslist today and figured it would keep me busy this winter. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions before this winter project gets finished. Last owner put a ZZ4 crate motor and a fresh turbo 400 in it around 2500 miles ago. Now i have to figure out where to start. Any ideas?

I'm not a fan of the flames but I love the way this truck sits. Any idea how much drop I would need?

Look like a 5/7 drop to me on 20s.

That looks like 5" in the front and 7" in the rear.

I would suggest 2.5" drop spindles and 2.5" drop springs in the front
Flip kit and 2" drop shackles in the rear will give you 7"

Just looking at the offset on your wheels They are most likely not going to work with that much drop. You will also have to go with a lower profile tire.

If you do some searching around you can see what different people did.

Here is mine lowered 5/7 with 15" wheels

Thanks for the info guys. I have about a $1000.00 budget for the suspension (not including wheels). Think I can do it for that? can anyone recommend a kit for a 5/7 drop?

I went with Western Chassis and am very pleased. If you piece the kit together through summit you can come out really cheap as well. Summit house brands will actually be name brand stuff.

You should come out well under $1000 for a lowering kit.
