electric problem its a weird one
ok i got a 87 chevy r30 cac, the otherday i was driving and it started raining go to turn in the wipers and nothing so i played with the switch i turn on the wipers and my gas guage peggs on e and my dash lights turn on soand the dash turn signals turn on there real dim i turn them off i get home wondering wtf is going on i turn on the parking lights and the samething happions fuel peggs and no dash light but the turn signals come on on the dash only real bright so i pull the dash off and start pulling apart the wire harnes and taping it back as i inspect of corse it was a firetruck and they just love to add there goodies i made a fue repairs with the trusty wire diagram by my side i test it everythings good to go get it all put togeather and everything is fine and dandy then it comes back im starting to think water has gotten to the fuseblock maybe pulling it out blow it off with the air gun and lather it up with some dielectric grease any input would be great help

i think you should also check the grounds on the wiring harnesses... ive seen a bad ground do that kind of thing

:agree: Electricity is lazy and will find the easiest path to ground. If you have a bad ground it will find another way out.

so cheak that groung around the drivers side a piller and firewall?

Thats a good place to start but it wouldnt hurt to spend some time and clean them all up ( there ain't many ;) ) If this ones giving you fits others are close behind.

well i spent all weekend pulling out the 350 and put my baby under the hood and with that i pulled all the wireing from the firetruck days out i noticed the ground from the block to the firewall was broke and replaced with a wire and a selftapping screw maybe putting that back but better lol would help because the only grounds i have on the battery are to the block, core support, and the frame

i found the problem it was the ground on the e brake 1 snip crimp ans a slip everything works like it should the ground looked good at first glance but the e brake wasnt tightened down and the bolts are rusted in place so i moved the ground thanks alot for the input
