E Brake help!
:gmc2: where can you find e brakes for these truck ive bought the ones from Napa/checker and there not even close i couldn't even figure out away to make them work anyone know? or had luck with the ones at the parts store |

Exactly which part of the e-brake are you looking for? The cables? If so what year truck? Have you converted to an auto trans?

its a 1964 i need the 2 long ones that head for the drums and no still the 4 speed

I converted my 65 to the 66 type set up. 66's didnt use the transmission crossmember as a pivot point. pretty easy to do.

Most of the vendors that sell parts for our trucks sell the e brake cables. There are different lengths, one for the short and the other for the long... other than that everything should be the same.

anyone bought these before brake cables out of lmc catalog for a 1964-65 long bed and do i need o buy the brake cable seal set?

Do they sell the rubber boots that sit where the cable goes into the ribbed tube? My e-brake froze up a few times last year and i'm thinking its from moisture getting past those seals. Had to carry a MAP torch around just in case, lol.
