rear shock mounts for 59 fleetside
 

i got a 59 and the guy that had it before me took the rear shocks off and put the axle on top of the leaf springs. we are putting the axle back under it but there are no shock mounts and we cant find them any where. we were thinking about just making some from another pair we could get at a junk yard and just cut and weld till they work. but does anyone have any suggestions?

You should be fine, the stock mounts are "basicly" a plate with a tab off to the rear for the lower shock mounting eye to go to. The plate has four holes that the axle u bolts go through holding it all in place.

I actually have that part of it. Im needing the the bottom mount. Thanks allot though.
