Drive line

Does anyone local have a 1960-66 chevy or gmc drive line for a shortbed automatic (small block 350 with turbo 350 tranny) or can I get info on one that will work from another vehicle... I am Fabricating a tranny cross member and haven't drilled the holes for the motor mounts yet... Or can I get the measurements for a stock drive line.

Re: Drive line

using the original motor mount holes the driveline should be 57 1/2 inches overall (outside of cup to outside of cup ) of course you will have a yoke that goes in the tranny on top of this but the driveline will be 57 1/2 total length 350/350 combo

I would just get one that is a little too long. It doesn't cost that much to have one shortened. There are several places around here to get that done. That way you have one the exact length you need. That makes more sense than moving the engine and trans to accomodate the driveshaft. Check Garwood Wrecking, they should have some to choose from.
