62, 63, 64 all in one equals.....
so ive been away for a bit but as some of you may know im a huge c10 fan, ive got a 67 pro street truck and a 64 i bought to build as a pro street truck
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=368197 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=405253 anywhom the 64 needs a complete build and i dont have the time or money to do so, so ive been looking for a 60 - 66 truck thats solid and needs a good home. i found a 62 bought out of tenesse for a great price with no motor or trans that is SOLID... its being delivered saturday and comes with a spare 63 rotted to hell with a good straight six and trans. the plan and point of this thread is to put my 64 suspension under the 62 with the 63's drivetrain and have a slick daily for the next year or so till i drop my built 283 into it. so keep posted pics will follow, and i move out dec first so this will go really fast and with any luck really smooth :chevy: |

got bored waiting for paint to dry so even though im putting the coil sprung 64 crossmember under it we went ahead and dropped the torsion bars just to make me feel better

got the valve seals done and the lifter covers painted and on aswell as the dizzy in with cap rotor points condensor wires and plugs.. also painted up and resealed the oil pan and timing cover, then cleaned and painted the trans...

then i got bored... even though im gonna rock the original patina paint look i want certain parts to look really clean like the front end, so i tried to match up the original paint scheme on the grille support. it came out pretty good,

Your motor looks real sharp.
Did you skin a beer can for a sleeve on your coil? That is an awesome idea if you did! I would so copy that :metal: |

thanks man it may just be a sixxer but i wanted her to look clean. and yea cut the top and bottom off a beer can and slit it up the back and you've got a cool coil cover, pops tought me years ago and i've never done it any other way

well i finally fired her up and it moves under its own power, i just need to get some radiator hoses for the new aluminum radiator i picked up and she'll be almost ready. il get up some pics in the next day orso

got her outa the shop for some new pics and to swap wheels, i dont like either set so im tryin to get some 4 inch and 8 inch staggered weld rims preferably prostars and 5 lug it, so we'll c how that goes

the right fender has been replaced at some point with some chinese junk and its rotting so i got a original fender for it im in the process of patina-ing it to try and match the current paint
