LMC Sport Bumpers

How thick is the metal on an LMC sport bumper. And do they fit correctly? I have an original one that is bent. I would like to have it straightened out , but can't find a bumper shop in Chicago that can do it. I also have a license plate bracket that has thick metal, and it is heavy. I wonder if it would fit in an LMC bumper.

mine fits fine and are as heavy as original.but the chrome aint worth what i payed for them.looked good at first.then one day i washed the truck and notices they look like crap with fine cracks goin everywhere.and i bought the triple chrome.i wouldnt buy them again.

chrome peels off lmc bumpers and they want your leg for the stupid sport bumper brackets

I bought sport bumper brackets at a yard. I got the brackets, license plate bracket, dust shields ( I think that is what they are called ), and a bent bumper for $80.00. I need a good bumper. It came off a 1974 long bed. I believe it should work on a 1987 short bed.
