Anyone have their 67-72 at their wedding?

Have "just married" on the tailgate? Drive to the reception? I've always dreamed of opening my passenger door, sitting my fiance in the truck, running around to my side and leaving on my way to the reception doing a huge burnout

The idea of a custom tailgate just popped into my head, stock lettering on the tailgate but insteadof "CHEVROLET" the tailgate would have "JUST MARRIED" printed on it well stamped, I want it to be made to look like a factory option

I got my first p.o.a. in the 71 SWB I owned at the time. Does that count?

Domeier while not entirely on subject Score dude! Lol, see who needs an impala or bel air or one of those goofy mopars, trucks are where its at, why do you think its called a "bed"
God I hope admins dont get mad at this, no offense to anyone especially our female members, simply stating that we can love our spouses where we r happy and a wrench is readily available to fend off oncomers.

Board member Gringoloco got married recently & had multiple pics of his (her?) truck @ the wedding. Check out his build thread about ruining a perfectly good truck....

Im engaged to get hitched next June down in western NC. I was just complaining to the other half the other day that I had alot of work to get done between now and then with finishing the '72 and having it ready for the trip. She looks at me and ask "do you want to put the wedding off for a little while to give you plenty of time?" Then got upset because I hesitated to give the question some thought !!!

My wife would kill me for sure. She is Brazilian and they just dont restore cars in Brazil much. Why would we need a 500hp big block with a perfectly good 1.2L on Alchol (Portugese) gets you to work?

Btw - Gas =$6.95/gal in Sao Paulo. (doing the conversion from Liters to Gallons and R$ to Dollar @1.7).

Now that you mention it, I guess I would have signed over power of attorney if she'd made it a prerequisite.

I had my 99 T/A at our wedding.....didn't give anyone the keys to it, or it would have been filled with crap. Didn't think of a burnout.....musta had other things on my mind :)

I wanted to have my 67 at my wedding last Sept. but it was still a bare frame at the time...

Instead she insisted we leave in my 01 2500HD, fitting I guess, since I had just bought it a few days before I took her out on our first date over 6 years ago.

Everyone wanted me to leave with a huge burnout but..... I had fresh $1800 tires I had just purchased a month earlier and the pavement was that crushed oyster shell in concrete crap that would have had my tires for breakfast.

I drove my daughter and her Brides Maids to the wedding in the back of my '68 Short Step. They later took pic's wth the 'ole truck even though it is far from being "restored". It was a creek side pasture wedding, so the truck fit in like a glove. Here are a few pic's:
