Remove Rain gutter , yes or no

Im just about to send my Truck to the Body Shop I Im not sure if I should permetly remove the Rain Gutters. They are of now for the Paint Job, But Im thinking of not putting them Back. Iv'e seen a few Trucks on the Forum with out them.

Is the any Problems if I leave them off?.

I would realy like some input from you guys and maybe some photos

Make sure the sealing around your doors are in decent shape or else water will leak in more often without the gutters. My sealing is starting to crack up and fall off... I have my gutters on tho. But heck, even when I get new sealing I am keeping my gutters because I actually like the look. They are unique and not something you see on newer vehicles...

X2 on the door sealing. I'm leaving mine on because I like how that little bit of chrome breaks up my solid color

its a matter of taste. i much prefer them and replaced them when the truck i bought had none.

Yeah, it depends on what YOU like better. I personally regret taking mine off, because when it rains or when I was my truck, the water likes to creep into my interior through the seals.

If you get rained on without them, the water will run in the truck on you. it doesnt just drip straight down either, for some reason is curves inward and will get the seat wet a good foot or more towards the center.

Also without the drip rail, you'll have a huge looking gap at the top of the door. theres nothing wrong with it, just the rail hides it.

If you can close up the top gap, id say it would look good without them.

but for functionality, (rain) I'd leave them on.

I think they look good without them but unless its going to be a trailer queen or a fair weather cruiser I'd leave them on.

On a side note; I noticed you removed the dash, what are you doing for a dash?

I just removed mine recently, and it cut back on wind noise and the truck looks a little cleaner [though my roof is rust ]

Leave them...the B pillar looks to wide without them...like cankles instead of ankles.
