Ok so I have a 02 impala with a 3.8 it runs at about 140 degrees and its killing my fuel milage I know it has dexcool I and the check engine light is on it says its not running at optimum temperature any ideas

stuck and or dirty thermostat.....take it out and chuck it, get a quality replacement ......there cheap
