lowering a 78 blazer help

I have a 78 blazer with a c notch ,flipped axle, one inch spacer,2 leaf springs coming out soon and air bags, but I see 2 cross members in my way.One by the rear which I did notch for the flipped rear, but to go any more there is another cross brace which is hitting my drive shaft.

When you say "crossmember" do you mean body supports?

I guess they would be body supports but pretty heavy duty. One by the rear and another about 18 in. then the tranny one.I just don,t know what I can do with them.I got it half jacked up and will try to take some pics.

Re: lowering a 78 blazer help

We had to notch the rear brace on my 82 Blazer. The front wasn't an issue with the stock 305/700r4. I later went to an LS1 but we raised the motor up a lot because I don't like the way the sit in most conversions.

Pics will help us a lot.
