I think she hates my truck.....
 

Last night the wife said the ever so popular..."You spend more time with your truck than you do with me."

This morning she gave me the normal morning kiss bye and left for work...allowing me to get my next hour of beauty sleep. When I woke up I had a text from her saying "Call me as soon as you get up." So I called to hear my wife saying "I'm sorry... I'm sorry... please dont be mad at me." "Why whats wrong?" I asked....."I hit your truck this morning...Its not bad I promise I just scraped the paint off." As she is sobbing crying I am trying to tell her it will be ok and it can be fix but in the back of my head I want to scream and run out the house in my boxers to make sure everything is ok.

I get dressed and come outside to find this...... Not too bad, the whole truck is getting media blasted and repainted in the next few months anyway. Its just funny that we had that little talk last night and she did that this morning.

thats like the time my little bro took the passenger side mirror off my olds on my truck and damaged both of them. I didnt notice until i got to school that the mirror was duct taped on the car. lol.

About a month ago I told my wife my job was boring, and my life pretty easy and routine. The only time I feel alive anymore is when I'm hiking the mountains, working on the truck, or making love to her.
Since then I've been given a lot more time to spend on the truck, and we've been making love more frequently.
Give it a try, she might give you more time with the truck and other benefits too.

Its funny. every couple months or so my grandmother will back the buick out of the garage and bump, nudge or swipe my grampas s-10 and then gets mad at him :D

my wife makes me keep mine in the garage instead of her car because "it is ugly".

However she finally went for a ride in it the other day and loved it. I was going to take it to the track last weekend (got rained out) and she asked if she could run it. I think I got a stiffy...

When asked why I work on old trucks, I tell them: Been married 27 years, sons are pretty much gone, don't like the wife anymore and don't have a girlfriend, so, gotta do something, the old trucks are cheaper and less drama than a girlfriend - :rolleyes:

see, just goes to prove my point, lol, just kidding, my wife will ride in mine as long as we go places that are not real public, lol

she is actually good about the old truck because I have very little time to work on it in the first place

My wife says the same thing about me loving the truck more than her. She also says I am in denial about how much time I have invested into the truck.

About a year ago I backed the 72 into my 04 truck. Just barely rubbed the bumpers. I knew it was close and so I pulled forward to get farther away and when I did it ripped the bumper cover off the 04 but did not damage the 72. I was about to cry until I noticed it was just the 04 damaged.

That sucks, I had my wife do the same thing to my 2002 monte carlo. This was about 6 years ago so it was still pretty new then. A few years later I backed it into a telephone pole so the little scuff on the side didn't stick out so much. :)

Is there a lot of crap under that paint to warrant media blasting the whole thing? Otherwise I'd just scratch it down a bit, cover it with epoxy primer, hi build, block & repaint.

My fiance thought I loved her less than "my truck" an that it makes me happier than she does so I said its our truck an put her name on the title and insist she drives it or at least trys to. Now that I showed her she's more important that a hunk of metal she loves that truck. Now we work on it together an she doesn't mind putting money into it.
I also said if I die she can do what she wants with it like sell it or whatever an she looked at me an said "I'm never going to sell it, I couldn't because its our truck". I'd crush that stupid truck to prove to her she's my number one an always will be. A truck can be replaced she can't.

thats the great thing about being single but about every girl i know is always like no wonder your not married. i just tell them that im sure ill find the one girl one day that will put up with my truck and racing addiction
