What rear shock?

I have a ece 6 inch drop on the rear. I have boxed the trailing arms, put on the hotchkis adjustable trailing arm brackets. I am running a 383 just north of 540 hp and will be adding a 150 shot of fun juice. I have the fuel tank mounted in rear of the frame. I will be running a th400, 12 bolt with welded tube, c clip eliminators, 4.10 gears. I need a good shock. thanks for the help

Read up on the suspension 101 thread started by Super. very good info

A Rancho RS9000 works well. If the price is to much then the competition engineering shocks work well for cheaper. A comp number 2755 should be close.
But you should take your own measurements.

Re: What rear shock?

Are you willing to cut your bed to fit a longer shock?

Being lowered 6" is going to dramitcally reduce suspension travel. The only real way to gain some of it back it to cut some of the bed.

But before we go too far in to that, what rear spring are you running? One that came with the kit?

I'm runnin the rear spring that came with the kit. I will spend the money on good shocks. I don't mind cutting into the bed....well maybe a little lol! Some pics would be very helpful. Thank you
