Considering FenderFlares for a 79

I'm looking for some fenderflares and not too sure which ones to go with. What are my options?

Thanks
Mike

Xenon,Bushwacker, one of the winch and hub companies(Superwinch...Milemarker?),and maybe Warn.
Warn makes them for 81-91. They should work on 73-91. Most companies these days only make flares for trucks that already come with them. Their loss.

Do you happen to have any pictures kicking around? I can't seem to find solid pictures. I think warn makes a 4x flares I think they call it.

Here are my Warn flares. These are not cut-outs. I think they are the 4xflares you mentioned. They look pretty cool but I would recommend the Xenon flares over these any day. These are hard plastic and never fit right from the day I pulled them of the box and they itch the crap out of the paint. I have to replace the 3M double side tape once a year. There were some pictures of Xenon flares on a square truck here a few weeks ago.

Here are a few different view angles of them.

Huh,I see Larry's are made for 73-80 fenders (side marker). I found these Xenon pictures (1st two) and the last one is my old Blazer with Bushwacker Extend-A-Fenders that are hard like the Warns:

Yes. To me the Xenons and Warns look the same. So,if you like the Warns on Larry's '78...

The Xenon flares are made of a softer material. They flex better and don't crack under stress like the Warns and Bushwackers do. I have the Bushwacker Cut-outs on mine, and they look cool, but they like to crack. Here are a few angles on mine. Bushwacker also makes the 73-80 style.

Now i'm considering the Bushwacker cut outs.. Those look pretty mean.

Your41,
Think i could stuff a 38.5 with a RC 6" and a 1BL? And cutting out for the bushwackers?

No problem at all. Mine cleared the 38's with the 6" alone and the cutouts. With a 1" body lift, the 38.5's won't be a problem. My truck in those pictures has a 6" suspension and a 3" body on 38x15.50's. I could easily run 40's of the same width, maybe a narrow set of 42's if I felt like stuffing the tires in the fenders.

What Kind of backspacing on a rim would you reccomend?
This is awesome haha, I'm thinking about getting Trxus MT's

I would get a 16x10 wheel with as close to 5" backspacing as you can get. That's what mine are. The flares barely cover up the 15.50 wide tires, but they do it. Your 14.50's should be fine with that backspacing and the bushwackers.
