np205 question

Think I know the answer but wanted to check.

i have a 205 in my blazer mated to th350 and I am about to rebuild the t case. I am thinking of buying a 205 and rebuilding it then swapping it out. Keeps me on the road during the rebuild.

I found one that was part of a 205 th400 combo. Is it compatible?

No need to answer guys, in some further looking the answer is a big maybe with a bunch of "if" thrown in.

ok on the maybe's and if's as long as you know that involves swapin the inputs[of t-case] th350 ver. uses a 27spline,th400 uses a 32spline,& sm465[early] uses a 10spline[late=32spline]

Re: np205 question

The short answer is no.

You can swap some parts around as mentioned above and make them work but all th400s will have a 32 spline female input shaft of some kind (short or long). Your th350 will have a 27 spline male input shaft. Here is some explanation.

there's 3 diffrent 205 tran case for the 350 tm and the bolt patern is only a half a bolt hole diffrents to the mount.

Well you have peaked my interest. You say there are THREE different np205s that bolted to a th350? Please elaborate. As far as I have ever seen there is only one that would bolt to the th350. That is the "racetrack" 8 bolt case with a 27 spline male-coupler-male setup.

Too bad you are so far. I have a TH350 and NP205 that I'm getting ready to sell from a 70 suburban.

What is the difference between the three styles?

$327ish for UPS and Fedex at 100pound (guess) and if it is under 70 pounds, it can go USPS for $70, but I doubt that's correct, so Yes, very costly and hard to imagine.
