Difference in 2wd to 4wd frame

From 1960 to 1966 Suburban frames, are the 2wd and 4wd frames different? Found a 1965 2wd Suburban and would like to convert to 4wd.

There are a few crossmembers that are different as well on the factory 4x4 trucks and Burbs.

But since you are wanting to convert a 2wd to 4wd, that shouldn't be a problem. You don't have to build the frame exactly like an original 4x4 frame. Depending on what type of suspension you are wanting, you could use a '73-'87 4x4 as a donor for everything but the frame. Some will say, use the newer frame, but I would suggest keeping the original frame and building from that.
