Identify this bracket
1 Attachment(s)
I pick up my swb chassis for my project yesterday and there are brackets where the trailing arms mount to the rear end that I have never seen before. The have rubber bumpers on them like they were some sort of suspension stop. Anyone know what they are?

It's for the add on leaf springs.

Kind of acted like an overload spring.

Re: Identify this bracket
The truck had the over load spring on it at some point. The spring was a single leaf that mounted toward the rear of the frame and the other end would float above the rubber stopper until either loaded are a bad bump.;):chevy:

Thanks guys! I have seen the overload spring in one recently but never looked to see where it contacted the trailing arm, now I wish I had the rest of it! lol
The wheels are awesome right!? I needed to get the chassis home from central Florida, but I didn't have 6 lug wheels (i am converting to 5 lug) so I made some plywood discs. Only $22 in them! |
