Wheel/tire picture thread
I saw a similar thread on another forum and I thought I should post it on here for everyone to share. There are alot of threads asking about backspacing, tire size etc, so this is a chance to share what you have as well as inform others
things you need to post if you can:

Re: Wheel/tire picture thread
^^^ I have to ask, Sicklajoie, do you still have the six lug setup on your truck? And out of what ford did you get those wheels? I like the look.

Re: Wheel/tire picture thread
I just picked up some rallys and tires, and thanks to this forum found alot of usefull info. Even with all the measurments, I was still unsure I was picking the right tires.
Fronts 15x8 stock BS on BFG 245/60/15, Rears 15x10 5.25 BS on BFG 275/60/15 72 C/10, stock rearend width. Tires: Paid 110ea for rears, and 103ea fronts.. I'll be taking these home tomorrow to see how they fit/look. Waiting on new shoes, sanding flames off, new solid matt finish coming soon.. http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/IMG_6053.jpg One side is about .25 closer to edge, than other side.. http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/IMG_6051.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/IMG_6078.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/IMG_6080.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/IMG_6081.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/IMG_6093.jpg |

It's a C/20 so it's an 8 lugger. By 16 X 7 wheels I meant they're 7 inches wide. The F*rd wheels are from pretty much any 3/4 ton pickup or van up until the late 90's. |

Truck is a 69, 68 clip. 84 front suspension swap. 2.5" McGaughys drop spindles and one turn cut from the stock small block springs. (could change soon, PO cut the springs)
I had the engine in my truck this spring and had a problem. It had to come back out. The pics you see with the new wheels are more current, the pics with truck rallys are to show how much the big block will bring the front end down once I get it back in. The tires on the rallyes are 215/65 I think, .. 4.5" drop in the front with 1.25 HD rotors. (I gained about .5 in track width) .. and a big block with iron heads. 6" drop springs in the back, no wood in the bed, not much gas in it, bumper, or driver's step fender on it. It may come down another 2" when I get my notch in place. .. or bags..:metal: The wheels are Billet Specialties Dagger. F 20x8.5 5.5" BS 255/40/20 Nitto 420s R 20x8.5 4.75" BS 255/45/20 Nitto 420s I have the earlier rear end housing. 55.5" plate to plate. These wheels were measured 316,543 times with a Percy's wheelrite. I'm confident I can tell you .. you can't get much more than this under a stepper without cutting something somewhere. I have heard 22x9 with 5" BS will work with minor trimming. I just offset mine to keep from having to cut my fenders. My tires will tuck completely into the wheel wells, no rubbing with about 3/8" clearance on either side in the back. You just can't get as much tire under a stepper !! I know, people have more under theirs .. I just didn't want to cut anything. |
