My dad had a 62 impalla, got it new 62 when my folks were married, probably rusted away by now, the last best memories of my dad was riding in my 59 with him and my oldest son going to the hardware store. My wife says she can see the disease in our kids already.

Re: son buys lost chevy for his dad

adult kid tells story of his dad buying a new 65 chevy impala, factory 4 speed SS. he remembers riding in it as a kid and then dad had to sell it, I think to start a business. Dad always laments having to sell it. Fast forward to 5 years ago, kids decide to try and find it without dad knowing. They just miss getting twice then it goes to Canada and they loose track of it. They hire a detective who finds the owner who agrees to sell it back. It is in like new condition. The video then shows dad with the grandkids at a local park. in the background the 65 comes rumbling up. Dad turns and say "that's my car", they say yes it is and Dad almost has a heart attack. couple of minutes of tears then dad drives away.
