1976 K10 12 Bolt Parking Brake Levers
 

I have a set of 76 4x4 axles from a K10 that I am rebuilding to put under my 55 pickup (old Napco want to be from early 60s). I have the rearend rebuilt but I am missing the two parking brake arms that attach to the shoes and the parking brake cables. I am also missing the springs on the parking brake levers that go between the two shoes. I have the parking brake levers that go between the shoes. I have everything else. The brakes are 2-3/4 wide by 11-3/16 diameter drums. I would like to have a parking brake on the ride. I am not able to see where anybody makes them. Does anyone know where I can get a set? Also what other trucks use the same parts?

Did you ever find those levers? I need some and can't find any.

Yes. Look at 66-77 Ford Broncos they have 10" and 11" brakes and the parking brake levers are almost the same and they are available new for ~$30 from www.broncograveyard.com. Those are for a Ford 9", so maybe you can find some used ones off a Ford pickup with a 9" in the junkyard cheaper. If you find Chevy ones from other years the pivot studs are not long enough as the shoes on 76 have some shims spot welded the both sides of the shoes. I ended up pressing the stud out and cutting a bolt so a high temp lock nut would bottom on the threads with the shank of the bolt in the lever and the shoe, not the threads. You can shim with a washer to get it right. You need a wave washer like the original ones to give it some tension. Hope that helps.
