pretty much any GM 64-72 intermediate body car. They have been hard to find plus you end up having to go thru everything. Several companies offer complete swap kits at a fair price

Thank you qksilver: I normally do questions for my C10 69, but today a friend asked me about this and I want to helping.
Then I think malibus, montecarlos, pontiacs, olds, and buicks. I'll wait anyways if a member of this forum did this swap and can share their experience. |
Re: Swaping disc brakes in El Camino 1964
I installed front disc brakes on my 1967 Chevelle back in the late 70's. At the time you could get just about anything you wanted at the wrecking yard. I added Pontiac station wagon springs, Olds 442 rear sway bar and lower control arms, bigger front sway bar and the disc brakes. Aftermarket caliper brackets were the only thing I ordered new. Sorry it's been so many years I just don't remember what donor car gave up the brakes, but I'm sure they came off an A body car.
