warn 5687
 

anyone used the 5687 before? to those that have:

would it be an acceptable choice for my fullsize?

are parts still available?

anyone done the brake conversion?

anything to look at for before purchase?

its cable operated? but has no cables, manual control at winch, also the seller said it had solonoids, which I thought it didn't, supposed to be functional and will test with battery, he asking $300

Now I am on a island in Alaska so everything is exspensive, but wanted to know if this winch will serve my truck well.

It will do the job.
It only powers in, freewheel out.
Really easy to change to solenoid control.
google it(or check pirate), You can convert it to power in and out with a different motor.
There is a guy around here selling 2 of them on Craigslist.
I was looking at getting one. But I ran across a 8274 that I couldn't pass up:)
