Howdy, Hank
I think I've seen a couple of board members from austin on here. Any way this site gets so many posts, that it doesn't take long to get a post on page 3. This post should bump you up again, and maybey one of the guys from Austin can help you out.

im in san antonio but ill swap a trans for 75 bucks if its not 4-wheel drive... Less if the cross-member rivets have already been cut and replaced with bolts. If those are in you have to pull the motor to swap i think.

I don't know if you would be willing to drive here to Houston, but there is a guy here that is very very very good with 700r4, I can not stress it enough of how good this guy is! If you are interested let me know and I will hook you up with a phone number.

There is a guy named Rick that works (worked?) at the Aamco on Burnet Road, close to where the old Super Shops was. Only guy in town who can seem to build a TH700 that won't blow up. My buddy with the Typhoon has had excellent luck with his tranny. Rick was talking about opening up his own shop, I think in Lockhart, but the guys at Aamco can probably tell you how to get in contact with him if he doesn't still work there. If that doesn't pan out, shoot me an email and I'll try to get a number for you.

Give me a shout when you are ready to go to 3.73 from your 3.07!

thanks mike.
yes, rick is still up at that shop. seems like a nice guy.

looks like my next paycheck is his.

by the way, mike, have you heard anything about b&m transmission shop on south lamar?

They did a trans in my Camaro in '85. Lasted 6 months or so. That was a long time ago, so who knows what luck you would have. Rick is the one I'd go to!
