The Ford carb will make the engine sick to it's tummy...

well just so you know ford didn't make the motorcraft carb just like chevy did not make the holley or on it now or a rochester

I do know... Motorcraft is a division of Ford. Ford made their own 2bbl carbs under the Motorcraft and "Autolite" name...

...and yes... a Holley is a Holley, and a Rochester is a Rochester...

Regardless of who made the Autolites they would seem a bit small for your needs. The Mustang had a 170 I recall. and a 240 (?)

The stock 2V carb on the 250 was 1.69" venturi according to my manual. and the jet was either .106 (250)or .128 (250-292)

I just look at my second post I sounded like an ass, sorry. Ok its just for the time that I dont have right now to rebuild the holley carb, that i was thinking on puting the ford carb on it and wanted to know of some one who might have done it already or maybe a holley 2 barrel that I have that was also on the mustang but dont remember the ventury

so I use an adapter for the motorcrat 2barrel and it seems to run great also the mpg looks a little better not much, I stil have to drive it for a week or 2 to see any real difference

I made the hole in the stock intake man. oval for 2 barrel carb. and machined the surface and made and adapter from aluminum and then plug the intake to exahust with hi temp cold weld I use the ford spacer then carb and now it runs better than ever, (since I got it in 2006) it was easy to do and cheap
