Front axle
 

Hi all, my front right axle is broken on my 72 Blazer. I have half ton running gear and I need to order the axle shaft asap. I don't have the option right now to take out the old shaft and measure it's length and spline count. Anyone have the info off hand!?!?

Not sure on measurments but I found that 73-78??? had bigger axles and will swap into a dana 44. I was not able to find any in the wrecking yards here but I lucked out and budy of mine had a set of chrome moly shafts that I bought off him. I have a set that I took out of my blazer that were stock I still have them under the bench at work.

http://www.overstockdiffparts.com/ has a sale right now. You may want to look over there and see if they have your year axle and just order that. They were Chro-Mo $52 for short inner and $62 for long inner. You might have to buy an outer as well because the '72 has smaller u-joints. I was going to look for you, but you didn't say if it was short inner, long inner, or an outer.
