Another try!

I know nothing about taking pictures but I try.
I read about this bridge a few weeks ago on the local news website. I figured today was a good as time as any.
These first few are to give you some background.
They don't allow vehicles on the bridge anymore but I got lucky and there was a Greenville SC groundsman there doing some work. He took the gate down and let me go right up to it for the pictures. Thank you! I drove for 1 hr to get there and it said nothing about being blocked off.
It started raining when I left so I got done just in time. Drove home and washed it off in the rain and parked it in the garage.

I see why they don't want vehicles on it anymore.

I wished they hadn't put the fence up but I guess they have to for walking across it.http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...27769372_n.jpg

Nice and scenic...

Here's a tip on how to do the pics.

You can print and follow these steps:

note: to resize pics, look in the internet for a "resizing" program. I use the one
that came from Microsoft. To see if you have it, right click on a picture and look
in the drop down box to see if it has "resize pictures." I use the smallest size.

1. After you click on "reply" or create a new topic, click on the small paper clip
above the post or go to manage attachments on the bottom of your thread box.

2. A "Manage Attachments" pop up box will appear. Click on a "browse" box.

3. On the next "Choose file" popup you can look for your picture folder by clicking
on the down arrow in the "Look in" box. (I keep mine in a "Truck" Folder)

4. Right mouse click on an open spot on the folder and click on "view thumbnails" to
see the actual pictures.

5. Click on the picture you want. The name will appear in the "File name" box on the bottom.

6. Click on "Open" to the right of the file name box.

7. The "Manage attachments" box will appear again with the name or picture information location on the first box.

8. If you have more pics, click the next "Browse" box, etc... Then when finished, click the "Upload" box.

9. After it finishes uploading, close the "Manage attachments" box.

10. Click on "Preview Post" box before you submit so you can preview your post.

 Gotcha... Pictures looked good to me.

One thing though, if you do post them using the site software, they fit just right in the page without having to widen the window or scroll left or right to see the whole picture.

Yea I bet it did. I got a pretty blue GMC myself. Man I was all stoked when I walked in from work and saw the tube on the table. I mailed it Monday morning back to you. They said Thursday but more like Friday. Then I told them I want confirmation and he said well maybe Saturday because of the hollidays!;):chevy:

Re: Another try!

Thats exactly what happened to me. I saw the tube and was all excited opened it up and .......WTH Same body style but red? Then I remember seeing your truck on sam's website.

I emailed him and that settled what I thought had happened. No worries though.

Nice truck by the way.

Thanks same to you. My wife really liked the back drop and said why didn't you do that? I said I haven't ever seen a place like that to stop. I just hope you have it by Christmas. This one will go right beside mine with Chip Foose shaking hands in front of the truck.

This was a few years ago. Went down to the show in braslinton GA for Chip Foose kids. I got to meet him for about 2 minutes I guess. Long enough to shake my hand and say hello.;):chevy:

I had to fill my truck up today also. $75.00 and it's not even full.

Those shots came out nice! I love that old stuff. We have a few covered bridges around the county and they are still used. I go across one on my way to Carlisle and always hope I'm not too loaded up too bad . It's rated at 6t,though

Re: Another try!

I know there is a covered bridge up in Davidson NC some where it's been posted before. I plan to go up some time and take some pic's. Maybe get a couple of trucks together and do it. Get a couple of differant places to go and take pictures.

Well I just woke up and it's sunny out so I'm going for a little ride. Going to give it a few hrs to dry the streets off a little more though. The wife has plans to cook all day so I have all day to ride around and see what I can find.
Finished all our shopping yesterday.
Waisted trip. The mill was to far away. Didn't get any shots. I may try later today some where else.
