Starting resto pics
I’ve officially started my restoration this week. I posted up some before and during pictures just to give everyone a reference point. I purchased the truck as pictured in the before section. I’m going back to a more traditional classic truck look with the side moldings, interior, non-power windows and door locks, shifter on the column and a bench seat.
This is my second attempt at this model Chevy truck. I sold the first one before I really got started. This truck will be my daily driver when I get finished. Currently it has a rebuilt 350, 700r4, and vintage air. I plan on adding one piece side windows, a poly gas tank, and a tilt column. This site has been a huge help in giving me ideas and a place to ask questions, and I plan on supporting all of the sponsors whenever possible. The pictures are in the My Trucks link in my sig. :) |
Truck looks pretty nice in the before shots so it can only get better with what you have planned. Definitely keep us posted - its fun to follow along. Great incentive too.

Cool, are you keeping it the same color?

I'm going with the factory two tone, yellow and white. I had a hard time choosing the colors. I wanted a factory color from 72 and something a little different. My wife liked the yellow and her support is always helpful so yellow it is with the chrome trim of course.

keep us updated.......what are those seats out of?? very nice.

The seats were out of a 300ZX I think. All the interior was given to one of my employees for his 86 Chevy truck. I'm going back to stock.
