just broke my new winshield.... anyone got a pick-Me-Up?
 

EfF me and my pickup truck. Last couple smacks with the rubber mallett to secure the chrome trim and make a tight window seal and all of a sudden im looking at spiderwebs........ anyone got any funnnies?

funnies.. hitting the long arm on drivers side rear to release the u bolt last hit of hammer I was a little high and hit the steel brake line.. oops..

I have this story to share. I was working in the garage with my 3yo son. I noticed he was putting something in a bolt hole on the engine that was on its stand.
Upon further inspection he had 3 needle bearings (from I don't know where) and had them stuck into an empty bolt hole..... Not knowing where these came from or how many others there were. I could't chance them not being in the spark plug holes and had to remove the heads to inspect.

well, I needed new front springs for my truck, So I called and placed my order, while on the phone, I'm talked into buying all new rear springs and misc items. So I say what the hell, and spend the money.
Wait 5 days for the stuff to arrive, open the boxes and find all the parts but the front springs I needed, notice a receipt in one of the boxes I take a look at it, it say...
1 set of front springs - back ordered 7-10 day lead time.


JUST my LUCK!!!!!

exactly why I won't install a new windshield in anything with the rubber gasket. Stick in's I'll do but not these. I simply am not THAT lucky!

Oh do not feel bad Yesterday I was grinding a new cam in my shop and uh oh Grinding a 4-7 swap to find out it was for a ford. Just glad it did not make it out the door. Not to many ford lovers in my area.

I bought a Nissan pickup with a bad engine and needing a front fender to flip and sell. It also had a bad windshield and I had poked a stick through the windshield of my '83 K20 on a job (long story) so I needed glass fast. I got a package deal with the glass guy to come do both at my house and had my truck glass and the transportation paid for so all I had to pay was the difference between 1 replacement and 2. Then I went and bought the fender for the Nissan and had it painted off the truck. When I was getting the old fender off, the corner hit the brand new glass and cracked it. I sold it with the corner cracked. I feel your pain.

I put a non vented gas cap on my Nova once... who'd think the fuel pump would suck the gas tank FLAT. 'Course I changed the fuel pump AND the needle & seat in the carb before I discovered the flat tank.
