Transmission fluid overflow tank - original?

1 Attachment(s)
Attached you can see an image of a fluid overflow tank that is labelled on the cap as transmission overflow. The truck (70 GMC 2500) has a transmission cooler that I assume is aftermarket, and I'm wondering about this little resevoir. Could be power steering too I imagine.

Anyone recognize it, and know if its original or something added later on?

Thanks!
Dave

That is a BBC power steering reservoir. It is original to tthe truck if the truck was equipped with a big block and power steering.

Thanks! I was surprised it said to use automatic trans fluid (which I've heard is the same anyway), that threw me a bit. It is indeed a resevoir for the PS pump as indicated above.
