Crewcab Shortbed wheeler build
Im building this rig for less than $1000 total. More than anything I have some pictures and I figured it could maybe give some people ideas. Plus crewcab>burban. I started working on it 3 days ago....

Day One
Took off the burban body but left it by the shop. Day Two
I got the cab on the frame and started hooking up the harness and changing the few plugs that needed changed, got it all together but didn't try firing it up. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...a/989b48e8.jpg I had to decide whether I wanted this to be a universal street legal rig or make it strictly a wheeler. This is what it looked like http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...a/995d1cce.jpg Wheeler- I would have moved the tank above the frame and forward directly behind the cab and chopped the frame at the rear spring hanger. Instead I wanted a more universal truck that would work and look half decent every where. So I decided to move the axle back 12.5 inches. Day Three (today)
Tried getting it started. No cigar... Has fuel out the injectors, and has spark. That's as far as I looked into it. I found that the evrv connector wasn't connected because I couldn't find the connection. I will probably work on that more tomorrow... And I need to pull the trans, it's supposedly new but the input seal has issues, I hate 700r4's grr Well I don't know where to get a 5.5 foot flatbed and this is on a budget so I am building one out of scrap. I'm not totally happy with it but it's free besides consumables to far. For the sheet metal on the back I had to make do with an irrigation pivot banner which wasn't wide enough to the whole back... Looks cool so far, thought about doing this with my Burb, but bought a crew cab 1 ton.

Can't have to many crewcabs;)

Well I got it in primer, I built a headboard on the flatbed that goes up to the bottom of the back window. It's all made out of scrap metal so it's a little bit ugly up close. Still needs lights and the deck. I'll finish the 2x5's with a dark stain tomorrow after I spray the truck. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...a/7baceb36.jpg

What are you looking for?
Size? Finish? Price range? Amazon.com has some killer deals. They are just harder to find. You need mfg. part numbers. The 8 lug wheels I got for my crew were @$460 for the set with free shipping. Posted via Mobile Device |

Oh I'm just looking for plain stock wheels or steel wheels I would spend like $50/set haha 16 or 16.5's. A set of wheels would cost more than I paid for the burban... This is a build to flip and make $...

I'm flipping it but I'm building it mostly how I would build a wheeler for myself... I would keep it but a 17 year old doesn't need two lifted crewcabs and an empty bank account... I can/will always build another and change the few things I don't like about this one.
A keeper one would have 1 ton running gear 52" front springs 64" rear springs Lighter flatbed And that's about it. Otherwise its exactly how I want it... Maybe trim the front fenders more.. Posted via Mobile Device |

Nothing picture worthy. I got the th350/np205 in tonight. Gotta get u-joints/build driveshafts and get a deck on the flatbed and then it's done. Hopefully I can take it for a spin tomorrow night....

Out playing in the snow... We've got another few inches in the past hour tho. I need u joints, bushings and tires.
