Floor Light Stays On

Last night I went out to my truck and I noticed the floor light was on, so I opened the door and tried turning the headlight knob, no luck. I put brand new door jamb switches in last year, but I pulled both sides out and checked them, no luck.

I pulled the Horn/Dome light fuse, and the floor light STILL stayed on. For now, I pulled the bulb out.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I just went out and disconnected the headlight switch wires, and the light is still on.... The only way to get this light to turn off is to remove it. Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated.

double check that fuse. I know if my dash lights dont work then my floor and dome light will come on but not turn off.

Fuse looks great. The fuse for the Horn is the same fuse, correct? With the fuse in or pulled out the lights are still on.

Thanks!

what about the fuse for the cig lighter, not sure but i think they share the same common power. might be shorted to ground

Whelp that was easy. It was shorted out and grounding itself. The orange and white wires that travel up to the dome light were completely burnt in half and were touching the floor. The wires are really stiff and plastic-like. I just rewired it and everything works like it should. Thanks for your advice!

no problem man. those orange and white wires have a connector to the dome light also so you could do majority of the wiring before the connector to avoid any further issues. Glad i could be some sort of help
